Arif Basgumus received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics Engineering Department from Uludag University, Bursa, Turkey. He received his M.Sc. degree from Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Dumlupinar University where he is currently an Assistant Professor.

His current research interests include cognitive radio networks, fiber optic communication systems, fiber optical sensors, free-space optical communication systems, interference alignment, optimization algorithms, and relay networks.
