We are happy to announce that our ICRG group member, Samet Hatipoğlu defended his M.Sc. thesis, entitled “Handover-Based Cellular Network Healing in Beyond 5G Ultra-Dense Heterogeneous Communication Networks” with great success!

In this thesis, the LB-Aware HO algorithm is proposed in order to improve the HetNets performance. The HO process is modeled with MC. In addition, to indicate a more realistic BS deployment, an SG-based HetNet topology is proposed. Thanks to the proposed algorithm, the load among the BSs in the network becomes more balanced than the compared algorithms. This proposed algorithm can be considered as a promising solution to the HO management in Beyond 5G networks.
