Mohammadreza Babaei (S’11) received the B.S. degree from Tabriz University, Tabriz, Iran, in 2011, and the M.S. degree from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2016, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Applied Informatics department, Informatics Institute, Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey.  He is a member of  ICRG, Istanbul Technical University. He has served as a TPC member for several IEEE conferences and as a reviewer for the IEEE journals. His research interests include MIMO systems, cognitive radio, cooperative communications, spatial modulation, energy harvesting, and NOMA.
