Dr. Serdar Özgür Ata received the B.Sc., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electronics and telecommunication engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 1996, 2010, and 2017, respectively. He has been working as chief researcher for the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey – Informatics and Information Security Research Center / National Research Institute of Electronics and Cryptology (TÜBİTAK – BİLGEM / UEKAE) since 2002. His current research interests are in wireless communication, MIMO systems, space-time coding, cooperative communication, physical-layer network coding, mobile-to-mobile/vehicle-to-vehicle communications, physical layer security, and free space optic communications. He is also serving as a reviewer for the journals Elsevier AEU International journal of electronics and communications, IET Electronic Letters, IEEE Access, IET Communications, Wiley Internation journal of communication systems, Springer Wireless personal communications, Elsevier Vehicular communications, and Turkish journal of electrical engineering and computer sciences.
