Prof. Dr. Lütfiye Durak-Ata is deemed worthy of the “Digital Transformation and Big Data Studies Award” as the project manager within the scope of YÖK 2023 Outstanding Achievement Awards with the “Beehub – Integrated Big Data Platform” project.

Istanbul Technical University (ITU) continues to attract attention with its efforts within the scope of its 250th Anniversary. At the 2023-2024 Academic Year Opening Ceremony, the Outstanding Achievement Award was given to ITU by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE). Our “BeeHub” platform was deemed worthy of the Digital Transformation and Big Data Studies Award. The award was presented to our project coordinator by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Beehub Integrated Big Data Platform coordinated by our Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfiye Durak Ata, which started to be developed by ITU in 2021 and put into service in 2022, enables the monitoring, evaluation and interpretation of institutional data at specified intervals (instant, daily, weekly, monthly). Beehub ensures that the big data ecosystem, which is the subject of advanced digital transformation, is produced on the basis of scientific research. 

Beehub makes significant contributions to ITU’s digital transformation. The data on this platform provides important information to support the university’s strategic decisions, manage resources effectively, improve student experience and measure academic performance.
